Terms of Service

By accessing or using Svelio (available at svelio.io), operated by Montebay Innovations LLC, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

Svelio is a nutrition analytics platform that helps consumers understand food nutrition labels and ingredients. We extract, classify, and present nutritional data — macronutrients, vitamins, minerals, and ingredient risk profiles — to help you make more informed food choices. Svelio does not sell food products. We are an information and analytics product only.

You must create an account to use most features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when registering. You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits.

Svelio offers the following plans: • Free — limited scans per week, no charge. • Founding Member — unlimited scans, journal, insights, and early access to new features. Price locked forever for founding members. • Pro — all Founding Member features plus additional Pro-tier capabilities. Payments are processed securely by our payment provider. We do not store your payment card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. See our Refund Policy at svelio.io/refund for details on refund eligibility. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Free tier limits may be adjusted at our discretion.

You agree not to: • Upload documents you do not have the right to share. • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the service at scale. • Use the service in any jurisdiction where doing so is unlawful. • Impersonate other users or provide false information. • Interfere with the security or operation of the service. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

Svelio and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Svelio and protected by applicable intellectual property law. Our name, logo, and branding may not be used without written permission. The analysis output we generate (nutrient classifications, ingredient risk assessments, health goal scores) is produced by our proprietary engine. You may use this output for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of the photos you upload and the journal entries you create. By uploading content, you grant Svelio a limited licence to store and process that content for the sole purpose of delivering the service to you. We do not use your uploaded photos or journal entries to train models or share them with third parties, except as necessary to operate the service (e.g., storage on AWS S3). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any document you submit.

Nothing on this platform constitutes medical advice, dietary prescriptions, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Svelio is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician, registered dietitian, or other qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition, dietary needs, or nutrition plan. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by Svelio. Analysis results are based on the data extracted from nutrition labels, product pages, and food photos you provide. We cannot guarantee the accuracy of estimated food photo analyses or OCR extraction from damaged or unclear labels. Nutrition information from third-party websites may change without notice. Results are presented for informational purposes only. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SVELIO MAKES NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR RELIABILITY OF ANY NUTRITIONAL ANALYSIS OR INGREDIENT ASSESSMENT.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Svelio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you are on the free tier.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at hello@svelio.io or through your account settings. On termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice on the service. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
